For Your Favorite Pet
Every pet needs a comfy bed. Whether you’ve got a tiny kitten, a small but bulky bulldog, or a massive great dane, they all should have a place to sleep.
Unfortunately, finding the perfect bed can be a bit of a pain. It needs to be the right size, the right fabric, and you may want it to be washable if your pet sheds a lot or tends to get a little stinky.
I found a DIY pet bed that will work for whatever you’re looking for. You can create the shape you want, the amount of fluff you want, the design you want, and the cover is washable!
Can it get any better? Actually, yes it can. Not only is it entirely customizable and washable, but it’s insanely easy to make because Koala Sewing gave us a video tutorial for it!
Wanna make one yourself? Not a problem. First, you’ll need to gather the following materials:
- sewing machine & thread
- needle & thread (optional)
- invisible zipper
- continuous zipper
- 2 sliders
- stuffing of choice
- outer fabric for the bed’s case
- spunbond for the inner pillows
Making The Bed
You’ll begin by measuring and cutting your fabric to the size you’d like. Watch the video below for tips and tricks on how to do that perfectly. Then, you can begin sewing.
Sew up the fabric as shown to create the basic shape and structure, then you’ll add your zipper so you can remove the cover and wash it whenever you need to.
