This strawberry cream cheese pound cake recipe by The Sprinkle Factory on YouTube is so simple and easy to make. I love her slo-mo edits in her videos because it makes the tutorial entertaining to watch. Honestly, this is one of the best pound cake tutorials I’ve watched because the cake looks so perfect and moist. There’s the nice perfect golden brown color on the outside, yet fluffy in the inside. Serve the cake by cutting your pound cake and topping it off with the homemade strawberry sauce. Add whipped cream if you like, and of course, sprinkle strawberry shortcake crumbles on top. The tutorial to make the strawberry shortcake crumble is not in this video. You can watch how to make it here.

Strawberry Sauce:

  • 1 LB. Strawberries
  • ½ Cup Water
  • ½ Cup Sugar
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice

Next, while the cake is baking in the oven, start making the strawberry sauce by adding sliced strawberries in the pot on medium heat. Add 1/2 cup of water, 1 tsp of lemon juice, 1/2 tsp vanilla, 1/2 cup sugar, and a pinch of salt to the pot. Allow the strawberries to boil and thicken.

A fun fact that I learned from this video: it’s called pound cake because the baker threw a pound of everything in the mix.
