The holidays are the time of year where it seems like there’s eggnog flavored everything: milkshakes, coffee, cookies, and more.
If you want eggnog, you can obviously buy some at the store, but that would be a horrible decision because it’s not even close to as good as the homemade stuff.
Believe it or not, eggnog isn’t as hard to make as it seems… especially with modern technology on your side!
Eggnog is made similarly to a custard, except it’s spiked with some spices (and some rum if you’re so inclined), plus, it’s drinkable. What’s there not to love about that?
If you want to make your own, it’s a whole lot easier than you’d think. You’ll be cookin’ this up all the time.
YouTube channel Kin gets this cooking up with Rachel and Byron Talbott. Here’s how you get started. The base will be made with milk, cream, and spices over low heat on your stove.
You’ll also need some eggs, of course. To get all of those in order, watch Rachel and Byron whip them up (literally) below. Once everything is combined, the eggnog you get out of it is out of this world.
Watch the video below and get to making your own nog. It’ll become a holiday staple for sure!
