No matter what time of year it is, I feel like I’m always adding to my garden. I want it to look absolutely perfect, like something out of a fairy tale, and I work hard for it to get there.
Recently, I’ve wanted to add a cute walkway in my garden to tie all of the plants and statues together. I also didn’t want to spend a ton of money doing so.
My solution? A quick Google search and voila– a pathway made of something most people can get for free: pallet wood!
This DIY walkway is unbelievably easy to make ad insanely cheap. Plus, it looks so whimsical and cute. Could there possibly be a better option than this?
I found the tutorial from Garden Answer on YouTube and it’s so simple, I feel like anyone could do it. With a few adjustments to your pallets, your walkway will be done in no time.
Now, you’re probably wondering how to make it. First, sand the pallets, then remove the board with a saw and a crowbar. For tips and tricks on that, watch the video below.
Make sure the area that will be your walkways is level. Garden Answer uses mulch in order to do this, but do this however you please.
The point is to have as much support under the boards as possible. Now, lay down the boards across the walkway. Create whatever look you’d like as you lay this out.
Drill holes into each side of each board, then run pins into the ground to keep them in place. Then that’s it, you have a walkway!
