The Twitty Burger
Conway Twitty is known for being a musical icon with a wide array of hits. However, there is something not as well-known about him that is just as note-worthy.
Twitty wanted to open a restaurant. His signature dish? The Twitty Burger, which his friends would ask for often. After giving it a try myself, I totally understand why. It’s insanely delicious.
The ingredients are a little unexpected, but once you give this a taste, you’ll want these all the time. It’s the ultimate burger: sweet, savory, salty, crunchy, acidic… everything you could ever want!
Here’s how you make them.
- 4 oz. patty ground sirloin
- 2 slices bacon, fried crisp
- 1 large pineapple ring
- Graham cracker crumbs
- 5″ hamburger bun
How To Make It
Cook patty of ground sirloin as desired. Fry your bacon until crispy, then grab your pineapple, graham cracker crumbs, mayo, and bun to get the rest of the burger going.
Batter the pineapple ring with graham cracker crumbs and deep fry. Spread mayonnaise on both sides of the bun.
Put this all together, bun, patty, bacon, and pineapple ring. Now you have a Twitty burger!
I love this interesting twist on a classic bacon burger. Who would have thought that a fried pineapple ring could add so much?
Trust me. Once you try this burger once, there really is no going back. It couldn’t be any more delicious… it’s practically addicting!
Give this a try and you’ll definitely see what I mean: best burger ever. Thanks, Conway!
