I grew up around guitars. My family owned probably about 8 or 9 of them, and you could always hear my dad playing from the next room over, his voice goofily singing along to whatever song he was playing.

I’ve been under the impression for a long time that a guitar should never be defaced under any circumstance, but recently, I had a change of heart.

It was when I saw these awesome guitar shelves. I needed one.

Now hear me out, guitar lovers. I’m not suggesting tearing apart your prized possession to make it into a shelf, but if you happen to come across a guitar beyond repair, or one that’s super cheap… why not?

All you need for one of these babies is a guitar, some wood for the shelves, and depending on how you want to attach these shelves, wood glue or some nails and a hammer.

BillSin Workshop also added some LED lights to his, and the end result is incredible. I’m definitely going to be getting one of these in my house ASAP.

Watch the tutorial below to learn how to make a guitar shelf for yourself, and everyone will be asking where you got it.
