I love watermelon. If I could have watermelon every day for the rest of my life, I would.
Fruity cocktails are probably the most refreshing thing you can have during a summer party, and I’m always trying to find cute ways to serve them.
So when I came across a watermelon cocktail served in a watermelon tap, I was super excited to get started on it.
What you’ll need:
- Watermelon (20-25 lbs.)
- Hand mixer
- Strainer
- Rosé (one 750 ml. bottle)
- Orange vodka (1 1/2 cups)
- Beer/Wine tap
First, cut a slice off the bottom of your watermelon so it can stand up on its own. Then, stand it up and cut a hole on the opposite end to open the watermelon.
When that’s done, use your hand mixer to blend the inside of the watermelon. Pour out the pulp into a strainer, and push down on the pulp to remove as much of the juice as possible. Collect the juice in a pitcher.
Then, put a tap in your watermelon by following the directions given on the packaging. Pour watermelon juice, rosé, and orange vodka in your watermelon.
I recommend pre-mixing everything before pouring it in, just so everything is well-combined. Refrigerate the watermelon and mixture for 2 hours, and that’s it, you’re ready to serve!
This cocktail is so yummy and looks so cool when you serve it. I’m planning on doing a few of these for my birthday party this July!
Let me know how yours turn out and if you switch up the recipe at all– I’d love to try some of your variations!
