Trisha Yearwood is incredible– a powerhouse vocalist, wife and mother, and incredible cook. Even if you’ve never listened to her music, you’ll become a fan once you try one of her recipes.

One of my favorites to date are her butterscotch peanut butter bars. They’re perfect for any sort of gathering or celebration, and are the perfect combo of salty and sweet!

What you’ll need to make this is:

  • 1/2 cup butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup plus 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 cup quick-cooking oatmeal
  • 6 ounces butterscotch chips (about 1 cup)
  • 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
  • 4 tbsp. milk

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Beat together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and 1/2 cup of peanut butter. Add egg and vanilla, then sift in flour, baking soda, and salt.

Mix oatmeal into flour mixture and stir until a creamy mixture forms. Spread batter in a greased pan and sprinkle with butterscotch chips. Then…
