Trisha Yearwood’s Bacon-Stuffed Waffles Change Breakfast As We Know It

There aren’t many foods on this planet that are just as good as waffles with a big side of bacon. There is something that’s even better, though.

Bacon-stuffed waffles. That’s right, one of the queens of country, Trisha Yearwood, has created a recipe that combines two of the best breakfast foods on the planet into one amazing dish.

I found this recipe on the Food Network website and I’m obsessed. I honestly feel like these things are dangerous… I want to eat them every day!

Here’s how you make it.

  • Preheat a waffle iron, and spray with nonstick cooking spray.

    Sift together the flour, baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon salt in a bowl. Beat the egg whites in a second medium bowl until stiff.

    Beat the egg yolks with the milk and butter in a large bowl. Add the flour mixture, stirring until just blended. Fold in the beaten egg whites.

    Place 2 halves of a bacon slice in each waffle grid and close the cover, then…
