Town Square Quilt
I may have never sewn a quilt as unbelievably easy as this one. Not only is it just stunning to look at, but it’s made of some simple strips and squares– that’s it!
Jenny Doan from Missouri Star Quilt Company stitches this up in a video tutorial. This project may be so easy, though, that you barely even need the video tutorial.
To get started, you’ll need to gather some supplies, including a strip set, some background fabric, something for the outer border, and some backing fabric.
Here are the exact amounts you will need:
Making Your Quilt
Get started by cutting some background squares. In addition, sew together three strips of your choice. Now, we’ll sew together the block, which is super simple.
You’ll need 3 background squares as well as two squares made from the strips. The strip square will be the same size as the background squares.
In addition to this, you will need two rectangles of strips that are equal to two of the squares. Once you’ve cut all of this, you can put the block together.
To make the block, you’ll want to make the three background squares lay diagonally with one another. You’ll have one rectangle on the top left corner, and one on the bottom right.
Now, fill in the two blank spots in the middle with the strip squares. Sew this all together, and you’re block is done! Watch Jenny make this quilt in the video below, then you can get started on your own.
