Nothing can make you smile quite like a cat. Their playful spirits, their adorable faces, and their ability to sit on your keyboard right when you need to start typing… you can’t help but love them.
That’s one of the many reasons I fell in love with this quilt by Jordan Fabrics right away. With the cute cat silhouettes and the bright, fun colors, I knew I had to make this and add it to my collection right away.
All you need is a template in the shape of a cat, a template in the shape of a heart, multiple solid fabrics, and multiple patterned fabrics. You’ll also need some basting glue, and of course, a sewing machine.
Then, you can use your template to cut multiple layers of fabric at a time in the shape of a cat. Use the basting glue to get everything down on your background fabric, then use your sewing machine to do some applique.
The applique work is what ends up making this quilt. It’s not as hard as it looks, and the Jordan Fabrics video tutorial really helped me out a lot.
