Easy, Cheap, & Quick
I love quilting, especially when it fits the bill for a few different things: it’s easy, it’s quick, and it’s inexpensive to make. Not only did I find something that fits the bill, but I love it!
This baby gingham quilt takes only 3 hours to make, you only need 3 fabrics total, and the pattern is 100% free. I don’t think a quilt could get much better than that.
The Fat Quarter Shop on YouTube stitches this quilt together for us in a video tutorial. If you wanna make this cute little quilt, here’s how to do it.
You will need:
- 3/4 yard of light fabric
- 3/4 yard of dark fabric (similar tone to the light fabric)
- 1 3/8 yard of medium fabric (in between the light & dark, similar tone)
Stitch It On Up
What makes this quilt so simple is the blocks: the fabric is just cut up into equal squares! Before you cut it into squares, however, you’ll want to make it easier on yourself: Cut the fabrics into equal sized strips.
Sew These strips together, then cut them into the strips of equal-sized squares. Once you sew up those strips, the quilt top is done. Yes, seriously.
Add your batting, backing, and any borders, and you’re all done!
Watch the video down below and get started yourself. Good luck!
