There’s nothing more relaxing than a nice bath. If you get a nice bath soak (aka bath salts,) it’s even better. Not only do they smell delicious, but epsom salts relax your muscles and feel amazing.
Here’s what you need to DIY some awesome bath salts of your own. This recipe also comes with a super cute container you can use to give it as a gift!
Ingredients:
- Epsom salts
- Dried flowers or herbs of your choice
- Soap or food coloring (soap is less likely to stain skin and bath tub)
- Essential oils
- A bowl
- A spoon
- A funnel
- Container of your choice (they use a mason jar)
If you want to make the adorable packaging in comes in as well, you’ll need:
- Mason jar
- Glue
- Scissors
- A pencil
- Some fabric
- Twine
- Tiny wooden spoons (optional)
- Alphabet stamps & luggage tag
Add the flower buds/herbs and a small amount of soap/food coloring to the Epsom salts in a bowl and mix together. Add in the essential oils, then mix those in. Remember, a little goes a long way!
Use your funnel to pour the mixture into your container. Finish off with a handful of dried herbs, flower buds, or petals.
If you want to make the decorative container for the salts, use a mason jar. Use the flat part of the lid as a template to draw round the wrong side of a piece of fabric Cut out carefully then glue to the top of the lid.
Hand stamp your chosen fragrance or message on to a luggage tag, then tie to the neck of the jar with a piece of twine.
