Omelettes are a breakfast staple. Unfortunately, a lot of people end up with scrambled eggs whenever they try to make one. Omelettes may be a staple, but they’re kind of hard to make correctly, especially if you’re on the go.

After a little internet searching, I found the easiest way to make an omelette– in a mason jar! It may not be the folded masterpiece we all mess up, but it’s just as delicious, and I think it looks even cooler.

There are 2 ways to do this. Both involve cracking 2-3 eggs in a large wide-mouthed mason jar. Beat them thoroughly, add salt and pepper, then add fillings– cheese, tomato, peppers, onions, whatever you’d like.

If you’re at home, place your mixture in the microwave for 2 minutes with the lid off. Let it cool for a bit, and it’s good to go!

If you’d like to make multiple omelette jars at once, are camping, or just don’t have a microwave, fill a large pot halfway with boiling water, enough to submerge the eggs in the jar.

Place them in the boiling water with the lids on the jars, and cook for 12-15 minutes. Remove with tongs, let it cool for a bit, and it’s ready to eat!

These are the easiest omelettes ever, and you only have to dirty one dish!
