Taking care of your skin is a necessity. It keeps you glowing and younger-looking, slows down aging, and is just a great way to pamper yourself when you need it.
This Japanese matcha mask is packed with antioxidants, kills acne-causing bacteria, is super simple to put together, and your skin will thank you when you put it on.
It’s only 4 ingredients, and other than possibly the matcha powder, you probably have all of them in your kitchen right now!
- 1 tbsp matcha green tea powder
- 1 tsp. honey, preferably raw
- 1 pinch cinnamon
- As much warm water needed to get your desired consistency.
Matcha green tea has 10 times the nutrients of other green teas, so it’s a great ingredient for masks. If you don’t have matcha on hand already, you should buy some. You can drink what’s leftover– it’s delicious and helps your metabolism!
Honey is both an antiseptic and hydrator, killing germs while it moisturizes the skin. The small amount of cinnamon increases blood flow, helping with the glow factor.
The warm water is there to help with the consistency. The heat opens the pores and prepares the skin to absorb as many nutrients as possible.
Put the mask on your face and leave it on for 20 minutes. Rinse it off, moisturize, and revel in your skin’s newfound glory.
Happy masking!
