If you’re looking for perhaps the easiest summer DIY of all time, then I think you may have just found it. Not only is it quick and easy, but it’s gorgeous, too. You’ll be making a ton of these!
It’s these seashell candles, and they’re beyond adorable. They make great summertime gifts, too, if you’re in need of some ideas.
If you want to make you’re own, you’re in luck since these little guys are super cheap. Grab some seashells and let’s get started on making our own!
Here’s what you’ll need to make your own:
- seashells
- candle wax (you can melt an old candle if you want!)
- wicks
- super glue, or something to keep the wick down on to the seashell)
- spray paint of choice (optional)
First, spray paint your seashells if you want to color them. Then, glue on your wick. From here, melt your candle wax and pour it into your seashell. Let it dry, trim the wick, and you’re done!
Seriously, could it get any easier than that? To add a bit more of a summery flair, I used scented wax that reminded me of the beach. Even better, right?
If you think the seashell candle is a bit too small, there’s always the alternative of gluing shells around the base of a pillar candle. You get a similar vibe with way more burning time.
