Hot Cocoa’s Best Friend
In honor of the holidays, there’s nothing most festive than drinking a delicious cup of hot cocoa. Unfortunately, setting it down on your furniture could create those little rings.
Sure, you could use a traditional coaster, but with a cup of hot cocoa, I want things to be a bit more festive… so why not make a snowman mug coaster?
You Might Need This…
To get started, you’ll first need to get the pattern. You can purchase that for $13.99 by clicking here.
A video tutorial by YouTuber Clare Rowley accompanies this pattern with an easy to follow YouTube tutorial. Even if you’ve never made a fabric coaster before, you’ll finish this in a flash.
Construction
This super cute mini mug rug is made from a blanket stitch, is free-motion embroidered, strip pieced, and batting filled. If this doesn’t brighten up your Christmas cup of coffee, nothing will!
If you don’t want to stitch the little snowman on to the coaster, you can opt to use fusible interfacing and iron the snowman on instead! Regardless of how you make it, the end result is well worth it.
