Christmas No Matter The Time Of Year

Christmas and the winter holidays may be over, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy holiday treats. In fact, I’d say these cookies are perfect for any time of year.

This snowball cookie recipe has a ton of nutty flavor from the walnuts, and are rich from the butter and vanilla. I’d even argue that if it weren’t for the snowball appearance, they’d be a perfect spring cookie.

So no matter if it’s July or December, you can enjoy these cookies. Let’s get started making them!

You will need the following ingredients:

  • 2 cups walnuts, crushed
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 2 cups powdered sugar

Baking The Cookies

Preheat your oven to 325 degrees F to get started. Now, we’ll prep your ingredients.

Place your walnuts in a plastic zip-up bag and crush them throughly with a rolling pin. You’ll want them to have some grit to them still for texture.

Dump those walnut crumbs into a bowl. Add your sugar, flour, vanilla, and butter. Mix thoroughly until combined. Roll them into balls and press them on to a lined baking sheet.

Pop those in the oven for 20-30 minutes, then let them cool a bit and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Now your snowball cookies are all ready!

Whether you save this recipe for a Christmas gift, or eat them all year round like me, enjoy!
