Quilting Triangles

Sewing a simple quilt brings me a lot of joy, especially when that quilt ends up as beautiful as this one. It may be one of the easiest “blocks” to create, too, making it a very quick project.

Jenny Doan from Missouri Star Quilt Company has posted a simple tutorial that gets this quilt going for anyone else who wants to stitch it, so let’s get started!

Making The Quilt

This may may be the easiest quilt you’ll ever make. All you’ll be doing is cutting your 10 inch squares into equilateral triangles of the same size. Using multiple colors will make these pop once sewn together.

To make this easier on yourself, work in strips. Do one set of triangles at a time and square them off with half a triangle of the border fabric on each side.

Make quite a few of these to fit the length and width of the quilt you’d like, then sew these strips together. Add any border(s) you’d like, and you have a finished quilt top!

From here, you’ll want to add batting and backing fabric. Once you add those those and any stitching you may want, you’re finished with your quilt.
