Periwinkle On Point

I’ve really been in need of a quilt with bright colors and adorable shapes. Since winter is over, I need some more color in my life, and I found the perfect pattern for that.

It’s called “Periwinkle On Point” and it’s simply stunning. Unsurprisingly, I found the pattern from Jenny Doan at Missouri Star Quilt Company.

I feel like Jenny never steers me wrong. This quilt is the perfect mix of simplicity and intricacy, and a great way to use some of those bright fabrics!

The best part? It’s really easy to do! The final product may look hard from afar, but it couldn’t be any easier

According to Jenny, these are the supplies you’ll need to gather before you can start on your quilt.

How It’s Made

Believe it or not, making this quilt is super simple. There are two elements that make the block: the center square and the surrounding triangles.

The surrounding triangles have a diamond in the center of each. The easiest way to get these together is with a template and some wacky web papers, like Jenny shows.

If you don’t have those, you can still get the block together pretty easily. You’ll have to draw up your own template and/or make the blocks in a stack.

It’s super easy to do, as shown in Jenny’s video below. Attach 4 of those triangles to the sides of a square, and you’ve got your block.

To finish up, combine multiple of these along with any borders, batting, and backing. Then that’s it, you’re done!

How will you make this quilt your own?
