Whether you love Reba as a world-famous country singer, from her self-titled television show, or as the first woman to play Colonel Sanders, you’ve gotta love this southern queen.
Well, now you have another reason to love Reba: her sweet potato praline casserole. This stuff is delicious and really satisfies your sweet tooth.
Making this casserole is super easy. You can whip it up pretty quickly, and have it on your plate in an hour or less!
Ingredients for the casserole:
- 1 large can of sweet potatoes, drained (or 3-4 medium sized sweet potatoes)
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup butter, melted
- 1 egg
Ingredients for the topping:
- ¼ cup butter, melted
- 3 tablespoons flour
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup chopped pecans
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit.
Bake or boil your sweet potatoes until soft. Remove the skins, then mash them together with salt, vanilla, cinnamon, sugar, and butter.
Wait until the mixture is cooled, then add one beaten egg and mix it in to the casserole.
Smooth the mixture in to a casserole dish. In a separate bowl, mix together all of the topping ingredients, then sprinkle it on top of the casserole.
Bake for 30 minutes. Then this gooey, sweet casserole is ready to serve!
Thanks, Reba!
