It’s fall, meaning it’s time for pumpkin flavored everything, and I’m definitely not complaining. Especially since this recipe for pumpkin donuts exist!
This recipe for pumpkin donuts by YouTuber kawaiisweetworld is out of this world, and I could eat them all day. Once you try them, you’ll feel the same way.
Here’s how to make them.
Ingredients:
- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup canned pumpkin
- 1/2 cup milk
- For spice measurements, watch kawaiisweetworld‘s video below.
To coat:
- 4 T. butter, melted
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1-2 T. cinnamon
If you’re using an oven, preheat it to 350 degrees F. If you’re using a donut maker, preheat that to the same temperature.
In one bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and spices. In another large bowl, combine oil, brown sugar, egg, vanilla extract, pumpkin, and milk. Mix in the dry ingredients.
Then you can cook your donuts as shown in kawaiisweetworld‘s video down below.
If you’re cooking them in a donut maker, the timing is as she describes in the video, but in an oven, bake for about 10-12 minutes. You can make these into mini muffins too if that’s what you prefer!
While baking, combine cinnamon and sugar. Set aside. Melt your butter. Dip them in the melted butter and top with cinnamon sugar.
A simple glaze can also be made with ¼ cup powdered sugar, ½ T. milk, and a ¼ tsp of vanilla extract. If you want to make it more fall-appropriate, add some cinnamon or pumpkin spice!
