Making dinner on a weeknight can be obnoxious. After a long day of work, you just want something quick and easy, and a lot of the time, you’d rather be asleep than cooking.
We’ve all been there, but everyone needs to eat. So whether you live on your own or have a family, there’s one meal you can always count on to be quick, easy, and unbelievably inexpensive.
It’s called 7-Can Soup, and it’s amazing.
Food Network‘s resident Pioneer Woman, Ree Drummond, created this recipe for her website. It makes 6 servings and gets dinner out of the way super quickly.

I got all of the cans necessary for this soup from my local dollar store. So if there aren’t any 2 for 1 deals going on or anything, you’ll spend $7 for a massive pot of soup before adding Velveeta. That’s it.
Once that Velveeta melts, you’ll have the most amazing weeknight meal, using next to no money or time!
Here’s what you’ll need to make this:
- 1 box Velveeta (or any other cheese you’d like, adjust amount if you’d like)
- 1 can meat-only chili
- 1 can kidney beans
- 1 can pinto beans
- 1 can black beans
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 can corn (Ree uses fiesta corn, which has red and green peppers in it)

Get out a large soup pot and over high heat, dump in all the cans. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer for… click here for the rest of the instructions.
