I love easy quilts with a ton of personality. Something you can have done in a flash and something you can show off to all of your quilting friends? Yeah, something like that is my favorite.
That’s why when I found this “On The Fence” quilt by Jenny Doan at Missouri Star Quilt Company, I was obsessed. I made mine right away!
If you’d like to make this gorgeous quilt yourself, here’s what you’re gonna need to get started:
As you can see, this quilt is built off of two main blocks. Both of them are so easy to make, I feel like you could do this in your sleep, and I’m only slightly exaggerating.
One of the blocks is simply just 4 strips sewn together. Seriously, that’s it. The second block is only a little more complicated: a small 4 patch surrounded by a dark border.
Stitching these together doesn’t take much time at all, especially since the first block is used more than the second one.
To make this process even quicker, you can sew up lengthy strips, then cut them into 8″ blocks. You get a ton of blocks done at once this way!
Watch Jenny stitch up this quilt in her tutorial below. If you’re “on the fence” about making this quilt, the tutorial will definitely convince you.
