Quilting is a ton of fun, especially if you find a unique pattern that tests your skills. If it’s intricate enough, it turns into a gorgeous piece of art.
Jenny Doan from Missouri Star Quilt Company is an expert at finding and executing these patterns, and once again, she’s found a winner.
It’s called the “Twist And Shout” quilt, and not only is it gorgeous, it’s super unique. I would hang this on my wall as a piece of art! Wanna make it?
Here’s what you’ll need to make the quilt:
Once you’ve gathered all of your supplies, it’s time to assemble your block. First, you’ll sew together your strips in sets of 3. Trim off the selvage from the sewed units.
Then, you’ll trim those units into smaller sections. You’ll cut some additional strips, some triangles, and more, as Jenny shows in the video tutorial.
Basically what you’re gonna sew up will look a bit like a pinwheel block, just a bit more complicated. I’d suggest working from the outside inward, then forming the block like a 4 patch.
Watch Jenny create this awesome quilt in the video below, then give it a try yourself. It’ll easily become one of your favorite patterns ever.
