Mountain Dew Waffles
I love waffles. I could eat waffles all day every day if possible, but sometimes plain ol’ waffles can get a little boring. Luckily, I found a unique waffle to try to mix it up a little bit!
It’s a Mountain Dew waffle with Mountain Dew syrup. It sounds like a lot, but believe it or not it’s delicious, and not too powerful at all.
To make these Mountain Dew waffles and syrup, you’ll need the following ingredients:
- all-purpose flour
- baking powder
- table salt
- sour cream
- granulated sugar
- Mountain Dew soda
- light corn syrup
- electric green food coloring (optional)

Whippin’ Up Some Waffles
There are two things you’ll be making here: the waffle itself, and the waffle’s syrup. Both are equally important for this to be the ultimate waffle experience.
For the syrup, you’ll basically melt sugar, corn syrup and Mountain Dew over the stove. Add a little green food coloring if you’d like, and set it aside until you’re ready to use it.
Now on to the waffle. Start by mixing together wet ingredients, including the sour cream, Mountain Dew, and more. In a separate bowl, mix together your dry ingredients, including the flour and baking powder.
As with most batters, you’ll mix together the wet and the dry ingredients to make a batter. Add green food coloring if you’d like. From here, you’ll pour your batter into your waffle maker and cook them.
