Chocolate cheesecake is one type of cheesecake that I would eat. I usually don’t like cheesecakes, but if chocolate is involved then I usually choose it. El Mundo Eats tutorial on YouTube shows how to make a mini chocolate cheesecake with an oreo crust. I love Oreos too so this is the best of both worlds for me. Cheesecake is a popular dessert that is among my friends and family. Chocolate and Oreos is a perfect combination. If you wanted to make this into a big cheesecake, just fill it in a round or square pan instead. Plus, this is a great cheesecake recipe to make for a baby shower or birthday party.
- 7 oz Oreo cookies (200 g)
- 3 tbsp butter (45 g), melted
The Chocolate Cheese Filling
- 10 oz full-fat cream cheese (280 g), room temperature
- 1/3 cup sugar (65 g)
- 1 cup sour cream (210 g)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 4 oz semisweet chocolate (110 g)
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
First, get the base of the mini chocolate cheesecake by blending the oreo cookies in the food processor until you get a fine mixture. Pour it into a bowl of butter and mix well. In a 12-hole muffin pan, distribute the mixture evenly in each hole and freeze for 30 minutes.
Next, for the chocolate cheese filling, chop the chocolate and melt in the microwave. Add cream cheese into a bowl and mix with a handheld mixer until it gets creamy. Then, add in sugar, sour cream, vanilla, and salt. Mix everything well.
Overall, these mini chocolate cheesecakes look super creamy and chocolatey. I’ve been on a big homemade baking kick and this is a great recipe to add to my dessert list. I have been trying to find more simple, chocolate recipes because I have been cycling the same baked goods for months now.
