Reminiscing on old TV footage is hilarious. You end up truly understanding just how much times have changed, and how much people have changed.
Case in point: Marie Osmond. She appeared on a talk show called Home to show them how to make cheesecake.
The big hair, the cheesy jokes, and the gritty footage are just so much fun to watch. It really doesn’t get any more early 90s than this.
Not only that, but the cheesecake is actually delicious.
If you actually want to try Marie’s cheesecake, what you’ll need is:
For the crust:
- 1 pkg. crushed graham crackers
- 2 tbsp. sugar
- 3 tbsp. melted butter
Combine all of those ingredients thoroughly, press it into a cheesecake pan, and bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees F.
For the filling:
- 3 packages 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Mix together your cream cheese and sugar. Then, beat in your eggs one at a time, followed by your vanilla. Once thoroughly combined, pour your filling over your crust.
Bake at 300 degrees F for 1 hour. Let cool for 10 minutes.
For the topping:
- 8 oz. sour cream
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 1 tbsp. vanilla
Mix all of the ingredients together, then spread on your finished cheesecake. Decorate it with whatever fruit you’d like, and you’re done!
The recipe may be from the 90s, but the results are timeless. This cheesecake is just too good not to try!
