Marble is really in right now. Phone cases, room decor, laptop sleeves and more, the print is more popular that ever.

Something else I’ve been seeing a lot of recently are pendant necklaces that look like crystals. So when I saw this video tutorial by Mahum Tariq that combined the two, I knew I had to make some.

Want to make some too?

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • White modeling clay
  • Black modeling clay
  • Eye pins
  • Chain
  • Gold wire
  • Jump rings
  • Clasp
  • Pliers
  • Craft knife

First, take your white and black modeling clay and roll them each into small tubes. Twist these tubes around each other and start kneading them until they create the marbled design you like.

Shape the pendant into the shape you’d like with the craft knife. Use eye pins to make a hole for the wire to go through, then bake/set clay according to directions.

Use gold wire to wrap the pendant however you’d like, creating a loop at the top for the chain to go through and making sure the wire goes through the hole you created earlier.

Using your pliers, add your jump ring to the loop you created earlier, then add that same jump ring to the middle of your chain so it won’t move.

Add a jump ring and a clasp to each end of your chain, and that’s it, you’re done!

What are your pendants going to look like?
