Decorating a space can be daunting, especially when you have no idea what to hang there. I was faced with that recently. I got a new bedroom and had a huge blank wall right next to my bed.
That’s when I decided to look up ideas for easy and cheap wall art, and I found these adorable flower wall chains.
They filled the space I needed to fill, looked adorable on my wall, and took less than 2 hours to make!
LaurDIY had an easy tutorial for this on YouTube, and getting the final project was surprisingly easy.
All you need is:
- Fake flowers (she got bouquets for $1 each, and bought 15 of them)
- Clear fishing line
- Sewing needle
Start with a double knot at one end. Thread the needle with the fishing line, leaving about 5 inches so the needle won’t slip.
Then start sewing on the flowers, sewing from under the flower up, then about a centimeter away, stitch one more time back down.
Once you’re back on the underside of the flower, do the other side of the same flower as you did the first side. The fishing line in the middle will stabilize the flower and keep it hanging upright.
Make another double knot so the next flower won’t slip, and begin the process again!
Once you get the length and amount of flowers you want, make a loop on the end to hang it up. That’s it, you’re done!
Watch Laura’s tutorial below, make your own, and let me know how it turns out. I’d love to see it!
