Loretta Lynn— a country music icon known by millions. The Coal Miner’s Daughter is known for a lost list of hits, but this legend is much more than her music: she’s also an amazing cook!
There’s peach cobbler, then there’s Loretta Lynn’s peach cobbler. This stuff is a level of delicious I didn’t even know existed, and it’s so easy to make!
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 1 stick butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup self-rising flour
- 2 cups fresh Georgia peaches, sliced
Here’s how to do it:
Melt butter in a 2 quart casserole dish. Mix together flour, sugar, and milk, then pour over the melted butter. Do not stir.
Pour peaches all over the top.
Bake at 375-400 degrees for approximately 40 minutes. Let cool, then serve. I like mine with vanilla ice cream!
Peach cobbler is the perfect dish for summer time. Not only are the peaches in season, but the flavor reminds me of the season.
Once you give this a try, you’ll want peach cobbler all the time. I promise you, it’s worth every calorie.
