During this summer heat, I always feel like I wear the same couple of outfits, end up wearing something that I don’t like that keeps me cool, or end up wearing something that just doesn’t work with this weather at all.
I decided I needed to add some more outfits to my wardrobe that I liked for summer time, and wanted to make some of those outfits myself.
When I found this pattern for an off-the-shoulder dress, I knew I had to make it.
All you’ll need is about two yards of fabric, a sewing machine/needle/thread, a tape measurer, and an elastic band. That’s it, making this a pretty cheap project.
Then, use this pattern to cut out the necessary pieces.
You’ll be making a bodice, a ruffle piece, and an optional tie for the waist. With just a few measurements and stitches, you have a dress in no time at all!
This dress is totally adorable, and it feels amazing during this heatwave. I love it even more because I get to tell people I made it!
Are you going to make this dress? What fabric will you use?
