Biscuits You’ll Dream Of
Have you ever had a biscuit recipe that was so good, you just couldn’t believe it? Well, if you haven’t tried Joanna Gaines‘ recipe, that’s going to be the recipe that does it.
Joanna really can do no wrong: home design, check. Adorable marriage and children, check. Amazing cook, check. So it’s no surprise to me that her biscuit recipe is incredible.
Don’t take my word for it, though. Try it yourself! First, you’ll need to gather your ingredients.
To bake up these babies, you will need:
- all purpose flour
- eggs
- baking powder
- cold cubes of butter
- buttermilk
- cream of tartar
- salt
- shortening

Now, preheat your oven to 450 degrees F to get ready to bake. Then it’s time for biscuit assembly! Grab a large bowl and put your dry ingredients together.
The flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, and cream of tartar should be thoroughly mixed, then add your cubes of butter and cut that in with a pastry cutter.
From here, make a well and add the buttermilk. Then stir until the mixture is moistened, and you can move on to kneading the dough.
For the rest of the instructions, read the article above, or check out the video below for a more simplified version of her recipe. Both are delicious!
Good luck and enjoy!
