I love Jack Daniels, it is hands down my favorite drink and all my friends know this fact all too well, lol. My very best friend who loves Jack Daniels as much as me, texted this recipe to me yesterday for Jack Daniels Peach Pie Bars and I wanted to make it right away. I was going to a small dinner party and was planning on bringing a boring bottle of wine, but I quickly canned that idea when I saw these delicious Peach Pie Bars. I checked with the hostess of the little get together I was planning on attending and double-checked she wasn’t preparing a specific dessert that went with her meal and she said she hadn’t planned any dessert at all. So Jack Daniels Peach Pie Bars to the rescue! She was having a Southern Meal of fried chicken, black-eyed peas, cheese grits, and cornbread, so the Jack Daniels Peach Pie Bars were a perfect accompaniment to that menu, yum! I got busy on my Jack Daniels Peach Pie Bars by first peeling and slicing my organic peaches I got from Sprouts Farmers Market and adding one teaspoon of cornstarch and one-half cup of Jack Daniels to the peaches and gave it a good stir.
Then I made some chunky shortbread dough in my Kitchen Aid Mixer, that I love so much.
Then I took 3/4 of the dough and mashed it onto the bottom of a baking dish I had lined with parchment paper, added the peach Jack Daniels Mixture, then crumbled some dough on top and baked it in the oven, so easy and quick! When it was done I made a glaze to drizzle over the bars with powdered sugar and Jack Daniels Tennessee Sour Mash Whiskey, talk about good!!!
