It’s the definition of a pick me up. The energy of a coffee, and the loosening up of a whiskey in one easy-to-make drink. The best part? You only need a couple of ingredients!

To make a proper Irish Coffee, you’ll need the following ingredients:

  • espresso
  • Irish whiskey
  • brown sugar
  • whipped cream (either homemade or pre-made)

How It’s Done

Making the Irish coffee is super simple. First, brew your espresso. Warm your Irish whiskey and dissolve the brown sugar in whichever of the two liquids you prefer.

Then, mix the Irish whiskey, the espresso, and the brown sugar all together. Top with the whipped cream, and you’re done!

Want to make your own whipped cream? You’ll mix together heavy cream, confectioner’s sugar, and vanilla extract and whip with a hand mixer until stiff peaks form. Pop it into the fridge until you’re ready to use it.

This Irish coffee is a great drink no matter the time of day, and it’s an even better St. Patrick’s Day drink. Give it a try and you’ll be wanting to drink this all the time!

Enjoy!
