Fall is on its way, meaning it’s time to get out those old sweaters, give them a wash, and wear them when it gets chilly. But what if the dryer shrunk those sweaters down? Now what do you do?

Well, if the sweaters are a natural fiber like wool, there’s a simple solution: hair conditioner. Just fill a sink up with lukewarm water, add 1/3 cup of conditioner, and soak for ten minutes.

Press the water out of the shirt, don’t ring it out, and then roll up the sweatr into a towel to press out excess water.

Stretch the shirt to its original shape using your hands, then leave the sweater out to air dry. Once the sweater is dry, it’s all ready to wear again!

The conditioner works on the sweater a lot like it works on hair: it softens the fibers, making them smoother and easier to stretch out!

This works with all sorts of things, as long as they’re natural fibers!

Isn’t it amazing the hacks people come up with? I know I’m going to be using this one: my wool sweater shrank last year and I just didn’t have the heart to get rid of it!
