It’s after August, which means it’s time to break out the fall-scented candles: cinnamon, apple, and most notably… pumpkin spice!

The pumpkin spice latte is back, so that means it’s completely appropriate for everything to smell like pumpkin spice. I don’t know about you, but I’m obsessed with the smell.

Instead of buying a pumpkin spice candle, make a pumpkin shaped pumpkin spice candle! It’s super easy to make, and works as a decoration, too!

First, you need to have a pumpkin mold. You can either buy one, or make one with mold putty. Karina Garcia explains how to make the mold using the putty and a mini pumpkin.

Once the mold is ready, you can melt some soy wax in a mason jar, along with some crayons for coloring. You can add scented wax cubes or scented oils for the smell.

Add the wax to the mold along with a wick, and place it in the freezer. Karina does this in two separate parts to make it easier.

You can also add a little bit of a brown crayon at the top to act as a stem, and that’s it, you’re done!

I’d suggest lighting these on top of some sort of dish to catch the wax. Though these smell delicious, they also can be pretty messy.
