I love decorative articles made of piping, The piping jelly roll strip rug, has to be one of my favorite DIY rugs of all time. I have a lot of fond memories looking back at my jelly roll projects, and I am always excited to find a new one. Recently, I found a piping bowl video tutorial by Debbie Shore on YouTube, and it was so cute looking, I had to make one. This bowl was so decorative and perfect for a dresser top to store makeup brushes or a soft place to toss your jewelry into. This project was perfect for me because I am the queen of jelly rolls, I have so many and I also have lots of jelly roll remnants. All I needed for this project was some cotton cording from Joann’s, and I was good to go on this exciting new project idea.

Materials For Piping Bowl:

  • Jelly Roll Strips
  • 2 to 4 meters of cotton cording (not too large)
  • Thread
  • A Sewing machine
  • Fabric glue (Liquid Stitch or Fabri-Tac are good)
  • A pair of scissors
