I love decorative articles made of piping, The piping jelly roll strip rug, has to be one of my favorite DIY rugs of all time. I have a lot of fond memories looking back at my jelly roll projects, and I am always excited to find a new one. Recently, I found a piping bowl video tutorial by Debbie Shore on YouTube, and it was so cute looking, I had to make one. This bowl was so decorative and perfect for a dresser top to store makeup brushes or a soft place to toss your jewelry into. This project was perfect for me because I am the queen of jelly rolls, I have so many and I also have lots of jelly roll remnants. All I needed for this project was some cotton cording from Joann’s, and I was good to go on this exciting new project idea.
Materials For Piping Bowl:
- Jelly Roll Strips
- 2 to 4 meters of cotton cording (not too large)
- A Sewing machine
- Fabric glue (Liquid Stitch or Fabri-Tac are good)
- A pair of scissors
