I have gone all-in on my patio decor this summer. I have made a little oasis from our once bleak patio, by doing all kinds of interesting DIY projects. I recently found a video tutorial by Gino Vee on YouTube, that described how to make DIY rustic mason jar lights. These lights are wall-mounted and made from old pallet boards. They looked so adorable, I knew I had to make them the minute I saw them. I managed to find an old pallet from my local health food market and I got some battery operated mini-fairy lights from Hobby Lobby. I just love the idea of using mini fairy lights because they are so much safer than candles. When I use the fairy lights in my projects, it gives me greater peace of mind. If I am going in and out of the house working on a project, I don’t have the fear of an accidental fire hanging over my head. The battery-operated fairy lights also provide a nice warm light that makes my patio look very homey.
