I am always on the lookout for a new DIY gift box idea, so when I saw this awesome paper gift box idea by Mukta Art & Crafts on YouTube, I knew I was onto a real winner. I have so much cardstock paper laying around the craft room, it makes perfect sense to use it for something, so I got started on these wonderful gift boxes right away. The other materials are all craft room staples so there was no need to go out searching for anything to make this project.
Materials For Paper Gift Boxes:
- Cardstock paper (using contrasting colors looks nice, but it is not necessary)
- A hot glue gun
- Glue sticks
- A ruler
- A pencil
- A pair of scissors

You start by marking up your card stock paper according to directions in the video tutorial and then folding paper in the shape of a box, then securing your paper folds with your trusty hot glue gun.
Then, you will make beautiful paper bows and attach them to the paper gift box using the hot glue gun.
These gift boxes are excellent for giving small items, like jewelry to your friends and family. Since I make a lot of DIY jewelry, I made about 12 gift boxes to keep on hand for a last-minute gift.
