I have made many mandala rocks and I was so excited to find this rainbow dot bottle video tutorial by Lydia May on YouTube that describes how to use that same mandala rock painting style on a recycled wine bottle. Lydia uses an ordinary wine bottle to make a beautiful work of art, and it is truly amazing. I immediately knew these dot wine bottles were going to make wonderful gifts but needed to come up with a way I could navigate around the label because I wanted to make the rainbow dots on full wine bottles.
Materials For Rainbow Dot Bottle:
- Enamel craft paints (in multi-primary colors)
- A pencil with a new eraser head
- Q-tips
Directions:
In this rainbow dot bottle video tutorial by Lydia May on YouTube, you will learn how to transform an ordinary recycled wine bottle into a beautiful work of art. You begin by starting a row of white dots sweeping round in a diagonal direction.
Then you just continue following Lydia’s expert instructions and cover the entire wine bottle in multi-colored dots.
This bottle is so cute! I made a few as gifts for my wine drinking friends and actually left the wine in the bottle and also left the labels on. I made my colored dots around the label so you could still read them clearly and my friends went wild over them. They actually could enjoy drinking the wine and then used the empty bottles for a flower vase.
