String piecing is not only fun, it’s a great way to use up every little scrap of fabric you have and make a bed-size quilt.

I was so surprised at how simple it was to sew, and with the foundation piece, you can easily keep control of all the pieces.

Making this quilt is simple. It’s simply a series of strips of the same width sewn together to the same length, and attached to batting, a backing, and a border.

All of the creative decisions are up to you. What color scheme will you use? How big will your strips be? Will you stick with solids, use patterns, or mix them together? It’s all your choice!

If you really want to spice it up, you can add some free motion stitching in there too. The possibilities here are really endless, and that’s why I love this pattern so much!
