Country stars Garth Brooks and wife Trisha Yearwood spend a lot of time in the kitchen. Trisha even calls her husband “Gartha Stewart” because of his love for food and its presentation.

Whether they’re making breakfast, lunch, or dinner, it always turns out delicious. But Garth’s favorite dessert recipe for peanut butter balls is by far the best, and it’s worth every calorie.

Garth says that making these peanut butter balls is a family activity he does with his kids, and they associate these with him. Every time they take a bite, they’re reminded of him. How sweet!

Here’s how to make them.

What you need to make them:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup white corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup dark corn syrup
  • 2 cups crunchy peanut butter
  • 4 cups rice cereal

Add your sugar to a saucepan, and turn on the heat. Add both corn syrups, and stir until melted. Put in the peanut butter and stir together until well combined.

When everything is well combined, turn off the heat, add in the rice cereal one cup at a time, and stir. As you add each cup, it will get progressively harder to stir.

Put in some elbow grease, and eventually it will combine. Then, use some spoons to take a little out at a time. Roll them into palm-sized balls, and that’s it, you’re done!

You can store these in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
