The Ultimate Cornbread

Nothing satisfies me more than a big bowl of chili with a side of cornbread. There’s nothing quite as delicious, especially if that cornbread is slathered in butter and honey.

Even better, what if that cornbread has a ton of butter and honey baked into it? I know, your mouth is probably watering just as much as mine is. Luckily, I’ve got the recipe.

How It’s Made

Chef John from Food Wishes is back again with another recipe, this time for his honey butter cast iron cornbread. YUM!

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F. Begin by mixing together the majority of your ingredients: the cornmeal, salt, half of the melted butter, the eggs and honey, as well as one more ingredient you can find here.

Once that’s mixed, you’ll add another ingredient you can find in the link above, mix it together, and pour it in a cast iron skillet with the other half of the melted butter lining the bottom.

Bake for 25 minutes, and you’ll be ready to eat it once it cools off. Watch Chef John whip up this cornbread in the video below, then give it a try yourself!

Enjoy!
