Making hexie stars looks super complicated because there are so many points, but it doesn’t have to be with this new method I just learned.

The diamond and strip method makes this so much easier, and since this is one of my all time favorite quilts, I’m not as intimidated to make it anymore!

All you need to do is stitch a diamond with a few strips of border fabric. Then, you’ll cut that apart into 4 triangles, and form those into a hexagon with 6 pieces, points facing inward.

The tutorial for this quilt makes it super simple with measurements, cutting and stitching ideas, and more. It barely took me any time at all to get one block done, and I had the whole quilt done in a week!

With the right fabric combo, this quilt can be a real stunner as a bedspread, wall tapestry, and more.
