I know what you’re thinking: Christmas in a cake? It must be fruitcake, right? No. I’m not gonna do that to you this Christmas. You deserve more than fruitcake for the holidays.
So why not try a new cake this holiday season? One that’s actually worth every calorie?

Here’s what you’ll need to make this incredible cake:
- 3 cups all purpose flour
1 1/2 tbsp. ground ginger
1 tbsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
1 cup molasses
1 orange, zested
2 tsp. vanilla extract

As with most cakes, you’ll want to start by mixing all of your dry ingredients together, including your flour and spices. In another bowl, mix all of your wet ingredients, including the butter and molasses.
Once you mix the wet and the dry ingredients together, it ends up looking like a gorgeous gingerbread mousse. Pour it in your bundt cake pan to bake, and once it comes out, you won’t be able to resist.
