Wedding season is starting, and I couldn’t be more excited. It seems like everyone is either getting engaged or planning a wedding, and it’s super adorable. I know a few people who are getting married this season, and when I came across a tutorial for some homemade veils, I sent it to them right away.

This girl seriously knows what she’s doing, and I love how each style of veil fits a completely different kind of bride. Her channel, withwendy, is dedicated to awesome sewing projects. She even made her own wedding dress! This video shows 3 easy DIY veil styles, which are all super easy to make and will add the perfect finishing touch to any bridal look.

For each veil, you’ll need the following:

  1. Birdcage
    -netting
    -tulle/lace/ribbon
    -clear comb
    -needle
    -nylon thread
  2. Juliet Cap
    -tulle
    -lace
    -comb/clip(s)
    -fabric glue
    -nylon thread
    -needle
    -tape measure
  3. Tiara
    -headband/tiara
    -tulle
    -hot glue gun

My personal favorite is the Juliet Cap. First, she measures the length from one ear to the other, then uses that to cut the lace to fit her head. She uses fabric glue to glue a portion of the cap down, then uses nylon thread to sew the veil down in to the cap shape. She sew on her combs near each ear, and that’s it, she’s done!

Whether you’re getting married and need some inspiration or you’re just obsessed with weddings, these gorgeous veils are super easy to make and watching her make them is mesmerizing.
