I like switching up my decor during the summer months, and that includes my sewing space. I love coordinating with the seasons, so when I saw this pin cushion, I knew I needed to make some.
This little cactus cushion sits in a flower pot with decorative stones, has beautiful fabric flowers on top, and best of all, stores all of your pins in the cutest way!
All you’ll need is:
- Felt (in green as well as any colors you want the flowers to be)
- Thread
- Pinking Shears
- Small Clay Pot
- Smooth Stones
- Batting
- Hot Glue Gun
For each cactus, cut 5 half ovals of the green felt with the pinking shears. Use a thread and needle or your sewing machine to sew these pieces together, leaving little tubes for the batting.
Add your batting, sew it together, and cut out your flowers, sewing or gluing those on top. Add stones to your clay pot, followed by your cactus, and add pins.
That’s it, you’re done!
