Pork chops can be hard to cook, or just pork meat in general. It’s understandable because no one wants to eat undercooked pork. Plus, it can easily be dry, but this garlic brown sugar pork chops recipe by Laura in the Kitchen on YouTube looks moist. I love how simple the ingredients are to make these juicy pork chops. It can be served with mashed potatoes and greens on the side. Also, I love how the pork chops have a nice sweet glaze with a subtle garlic taste. The sear on the pork chops makes it look appetizing.
- 4, 6oz Boneless Pork Chops
- 2/3 cup of Chicken Stock
- 1 Clove of Garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp of Salt-Free Steak Seasoning
- 2 Tbsp of Brown Sugar
- 2 Tbsp Light Olive Oil or Vegetable Oil
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
First, add the oil on a large skillet and preheat it over medium-high heat. Season the pork chops with the steak seasoning, salt, and pepper. Sear the pork chops for 3 minutes on each side. Then, in a small bowl, whisk together the chicken stock, garlic, and brown sugar.
Next, add the garlic brown sugar mixture to the pan on medium-low heat. Bring it to a boil and add the pork chops back in the pan. Cook for about 5 minutes or until they’re cooked through.
Overall, this is a tasteful recipe to make if I want to switch out proteins and explore making pork chops. However, if you do not eat pork or do not want to use pork chops, you can switch the protein. The seasoning and base of this recipe can be used with chicken or tofu too. This is a quick base to add with just a handful of ingredients that you may already have at home.
