If it wasn’t easy enough as it is, there’s a free written pattern too. I know. Can it get any better? This quilt is a dream.
How It’s Done
Kimberly from the Fat Quarter Shop teaches us how to sew up this beautiful quilt in one of her video tutorials, and it couldn’t be easier. I feel like I could make this quilt wearing a blindfold.

Now for making the blocks. It really is as simple as making half square triangles, but the block varies in size depending on where you are planning on placing it.
7 mini half square triangles will be needed per block, along with one large half square triangle. When all of the blocks come together, it will form a full border around each larger half square triangle.
The finished quilt is stunning, and you can easily mix it up. Use multiple fabrics to make one or more of the half square triangles stand out from the others.
Add any borders, backing fabric, and some batting of course, and this easy and beautiful quilt is all done! Watch Fat Quarter Shop‘s video below for more on how to make this quilt.
